La République tchèque, l'Écosse et l'Irlande ont déclaré leurs premiers cas de coronavirus dimanche, alors que l'épidémie s'est propagée de la Chine à au moins 40 pays à travers le monde, affectant les marchés et perturbant les voyages. Une augmentation récente des cas en Italie, en Iran et en Corée du Sud a accru les inquiétudes quant à la capacité de contenir la propagation du virus.
Aux États-Unis, les cas sont limités, bien que les Centers for Disease Control and Prevention aient déclaré que les Américains devraient se préparer à la propagation du coronavirus.
